Nanny in North York, Ontario

I cannot adequately express how much I appreciate Jacky, for her time with me when my son was a newborn. I already had a 3yr old daughter at the time and needed help with my new baby son. I’d never had a nanny before and was actually quite nervous about hiring a nanny. With my daughter, I had been very particular about how I did things, even my husband and my parents never fully did things for my daughter the way I would want them done! But I needed help and I took a leap of faith with Jacky. There was something about her sincere cheerfulness and energy when I first met her and had her meet my daughter and newborn son for the first time. She just had a way with them. Long story short, hiring Jacky was one of the best decisions I ever made. We had her until my son was about 18mos and was ready to go to the toddler program at Montessori. She helped me around the house and was so good with my kids (especially my son!) in immeasurable ways. For example, Jacky was like the baby whisperer when it came to nap times. She had this magical way of calming my son down and getting him to sleep soundly in a matter of minutes. I would go out and run an errand and come back and my son would be sleeping peacefully and Jacky would have cleaned the house spotless and the laundry was folded. She always did that little bit extra and before long could almost read my mind when it came to what I wanted for my baby or even both my kids. Even though I technically hired her to help with my baby, she helped me with my 3yo daughter too when she was home. Jacky doted on them and I never doubted my kids were being well cared for under Jacky’s care. One example of something Jacky did that I will always appreciate deeply is: around the time we were teaching my son to walk, there was a day I stepped out to run an errand. Jacky was home with my son, and then she sent me a video of him taking his first steps! Of course I wish I could have been there in person, but Jacky caught it on video for me and now once in a while I still watch that little clip she sent me. It meant a lot to me that she thought to capture it for me as she knew he was close to getting it that morning, and she was right! After my son started going to his half day program, we didn’t need Jacky full time anymore so we had to say goodbye which was so sad for me! She really became a friend to our family and she will always have a special place in my heart. We asked her to babysit the kids quite often after she stopped working full time for us, but stopped doing that only when Covid started. I did hire some part time nanny help for the mornings for a short time. And I promise you that nobody compared to Jacky. No one compares to her genuine Joy around my kids, her effortlessness and efficiency around the house, her ability to exceed expectations, and her all around good heart. To this day, I am so thankful for the time Jacky came to help me and my family. I truly believe that the reason my son is such a sweet, happy and curious little kiddo now at the age of 5 is because of Jacky’s influence in that very early crucial first 18 months of his life. From deep down in my heart, I highly recommend Jacky. She is truly the best!
