Nanny in Whitby, Ontario

Hello Families! My name is Caitlin. I live in Whitby and have 9 years of experience working with children. As an ECA in daycare, the majority of my experience has been caring for infants and toddlers, but I also have experience caring for children as old as twelve. My responsibilities in daycare throughout the years have included diapering, cooking, feeding, cleaning, ongoing clear communication with parents and families, documentation, developmental assessments, building strategies to meet children's goals, planning and implementing activities based on observations of the children and their interests/developmental needs, and creating a balanced play-based routine which includes a combination of fine & gross motor activities, sensory exploration, science/nature experiences, language & literacy, pretend play, and artistic expression. I believe that children should be given the opportunity for lots of physical activity and time outdoors. I think digging in sand/dirt, climbing play structures, exploring forest trails, picking flowers, and running as fast as they can, are all great ways for children to learn and connect with the world around them. I love pets of all kind (no allergies here!). I'm happy to cook and clean, including laundry. I drive and would love to plan outings as well as grocery shop if it's preferred. I always keep my first aid & CPR level C up-to-date, and would be happy to provide a current criminal record check. I have former and current employers and coworkers who would be happy to be of good reference.
