Nanny in Vancouver, British Columbia

I am a Counselling Psychology graduate student who loves working with kids and hopes to become a Family and Children's Play Therapist one day. I've always loved being around kids and found myself often in the 'motherly' role as the oldest child. I am hoping to ease into working with a new family, as I am just finishing up with some other families. Experience: Most of my experience is working with toddlers, preschoolers, elementary-aged children, and teens. - Toddler: temporary nanny - Elementary-school aged children: Sunday school program - Babysitting for friends & family: infants, toddlers, preschoolers, elementary/middle/high school ages - Teenagers: tutoring Qualifications: - BA degree in Psychology with a minor in Music (I'm a trained singer!) - Halfway through my Counselling degree - My Psychology degree included Developmental Psychology, which focused on developmental disabilities - I currently also work at a non-profit with women, youth and children - I have First Aid & CPR training - Recent background check - Vulnerable sector check (completed but not available, I can complete a new one) - Vaccinated Services that I can offer: - Care for any amount of children (within reason!) - Open to working with disabled children (developmental disabilities, epilepsy, etc.) - Food prep (I love cooking!) - Light housekeeping - Caring for pets (unless the pets are spiders & insects, sorry) - I've had dogs, cats, tortoises and fish, and have worked with guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, lizards and budgies - Please note that I don't drive, so I won't be able to drive your child anywhere.
