Hello! My name is Sarah and I am looking to provide care for a family in Pictou County. I am a fun and friendly young woman who recognizes the importance of age appropriate development, fostering healthy socio-emotional skills, physical activity, and of course ...busy parents. Being so, I am willing to assist with additional things beyond and care and supervision; planning enriching activities, homework, lessons, animal care and transportation (I am even licensed to drive a bus..or boat, if need be!). I have provided child care for upwards of 5 years travelling far and wide doing so; from Ontario to Calgary, and while living abroad in New Zealand. I adore children and teaching and take great pride in fostering the development of skills through evidence based techniques such as project based learning, creating learner centred classrooms, scaffolding & utilizing the zone of proximal development. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, reading, learning about environmental science, horseback riding, skiing, studying, creating art/design, participating in sports, camping and many other activities out-of-doors!
