It is a pleasure to introduce myself. My name is Crystal Lafave. I am a RECE and past graduate at Carleton University, earning a B.A Psychology degree. I have successfully earned a diploma in Early Childhood Education with honours on Dean\'s list at Loyalist College. Through my studies at Loyalist College, I have learned and explored course material, taking great interest in children\'s development. It gives me much fulfillment when working with children; I think they are creative, expressive, exciting and very imaginative! I am intensely compassionate, caring and a loyal teacher. I enjoy exploring new ideas, concepts and environments and I easily adapt to all kinds of personalities. I have completed the St John\'s Ambulance Course having thirteen years experience working with children. I have demonstrated community involvement through local non- profit agencies such as UMTBC, Girl Guides, Three Oaks Foundation, Bayview Retirement Residence and the Human Society. I have also taken several certificate courses to enhance my knowledge and training such as; Food Safety Training, WHMIS, Worker Health and Safety Awareness, First Aid and CPR and CISS- Setting Up Great Spaces For Everyone. I take great pleasure in active activities such as Kickboxing, Zumba, Yoga and Dancing. I enjoy meeting new people but most of all my passion is to provide quality childcare to positive, suportive families! I look forward to the opportunity of getting to know you and your family :) Supervise and plan meaningful program activities for children, plan/ organize outings, prepare nutritional meals/ snacks, crafts, and play activities that are age appropriate, walk children to/ from bus stops, clean/ sanitize toys and equipment, and ensure/ demonstrate safety/ healthy practices. I have cared and educated 7 children in one household, running a daycare full time.
