Nanny in Victoria, British Columbia

Hiya! My name is Brooke and I've been living in all over B.C. for the last 8 years and finding myself being pulled back to my home (Vancouver Island). I am newer to the greater Victoria area and am seeking a job working with children, my passion. In Kimberley, B.C. I worked as an afterschool programmer, caring for 12-20children aged 4-8. During my day I would plan activities, crafts and games. Once the kids were out of school I would play, prepare snacks and watch over them. I loved learning from them and finding out what each child's interests were and finding activities for each one. I truly bonded with these kiddos and still hold them close to my heart. I have only be a nanny short term for a 3 year old boy with autism, I have been an on and off again nanny to my nephew for 3 years. I have worked in almost as many different fields than places, giving me a great ability to adjust easily and adapt quickly. From decorating cakes and landscaping, to walking 21 dogs off leash in the boonies alone! I live for learning! which is why I believe being a nanny is the perfect job for me. Mixing my love for seeing children grow as well as evolving with them and always learning more about each other. My hobbies that would be an asset to your children are: -Foraging. I can teach your child about wild plants or just getting dirty in the woods and knowing the safety or danger of the plants around us. -Hiking and Climbing. Taking your children on adventures, having the right equipment, to have fun safely. -Swimming. I love to swim at the pool and splash around and am always keen to play in the shallow end! I have a vehicle and license however it is a 3 seater so only fit for a family where at most 1 child is required to be in a safety seat. My sister was born with Type 1 diabetes and it is something I am very comfortable with and confident in difficult situations. I hope that you feel I can be a good fit for your family.
