Greetings! My name is Abigail! I am a 34 year old female, recent Masters graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University, and currently studying for the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT). I have a very positive and caring personality and I work well with children of all ages. I am a very active individual; I enjoy playing and teaching, cooking and cleaning. I believe it is fundamental for a child's development to keep them off screens and engage in creative activities, such as playing outside, playing music, drawing, reading books, writing stories, making crafts and baking! I have worked with teenagers in university as a Teacher’s Assistant (TA), I have worked as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) through Community Living Mississauga for families with children living with autism, I have cared for my 18 month old nephew (child in my photos) and my 6 month old niece, and I have cared for families with multiple children (18 months to 6 years old). I enjoy caring for children because I cherish the responsibility of assisting in their development. Not only should children do well in school (I can help with homework!) but they should also learn how to regulate their emotions, communicate their thoughts and feelings in a healthy manner, and feel as if they are valued and cherished by the adults in their lives. My goal in caring for your child is not only to keep them happy and safe, but to make sure that they are growing in all aspect of life so that they can become a successful adult in the future.
