Working as a Program Leader with the City Of Burlington has been challenging, yet also extremely rewarding. In addition to caring for and assisting these individuals with some of the challenges their special needs bring, I have also been responsible for escorting and supervising daily outings, swimming supervision, preparing and organizing crafts and activities and working in group like settings while meeting the needs of all of the children. In addition to working with the City of Burlington, I have cared for children in a home setting. My core responsibilities were: general care and well-being, preparing meals & snacks, bringing children to and from activities, teaching and assisting teenagers on how to use public transit, and more.
