I was part of early intervention program for children with Down Syndrome from 0 to 6 years of age, providing by the SENDAS foundation. Interdisciplinary work of Physiotherapist, Occupational and Speech Therapist, was used to maximize children development. In my area, it referred to the psychomotor development and basic motor abilities through playful activities.
