Nanny in Ottawa, Ontario

I am currently looking for a summer position as I work for the Ottawa Carleton District School Board. I look forward to hearing from you. I have ten years’ experience working with children ages 0-13 years, in a variety of setting including City of Ottawa, Ottawa Carleton District School Board and, Parkdale Montessori. I have over two years’ experience working full time in a Montessori School setting. Within the Montessori environment I gained experience with encouraging each individual child to develop to their own potential using the Montessori philosophy and tools. My first placement was working for Glebe Parents daycare in the preschool program. During my final placement I was working with a RECE at Cambridge Public School in the kindergarten room. I am a recent graduate from the Early Childhood Education program at Algonquin College. My courses have been focused on child development, emergent curriculum, and play based learning. I have working knowledge of the Day Nurseries Act and Elect expectations. Most recently, I had been working as a program coordinator for the City of Ottawa at Hintonburg Community Center in the preschool program. I was involved in developing, planning and organizing daily activities for children age 3-6.
