Hello! My name is Katherine and I am a current French major at York University hoping to enter the education field after completing my degree. I have always loved working with children and the majority of my work experience has revolved around them. This includes working as an instructor at a Montessori-inspired children’s cooking school and being a classroom volunteer in the Peel International Languages program for children in grades 1-5. I am capable (and looking forward to!) of cooking meals that kids will love from a variety of cooking and cuisine styles, and also willing to perform basic housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming or light cleaning while on the job. As well, I consider myself bilingual with an intermediate proficiency in French, which is something I am willing to converse with and use around children, if you would be interested in something like that. I have my First Aid/CPR-C certification as well as a vulnerable sector check, and a food safety certification, I am also willing to do basic housekeeping to a reasonable extent, as well as pet care (I have a severe cat allergy but am still willing to work in houses with cats as long as I do not need to interact with the cat!). I am available for any time on Saturdays, and Sundays including overnight, and can be flexible with weekdays.
