I am a dedicated and qualified early childhood educator with a passion for children’s learning and care. I have several years of experience working in a preschool and grade school environment with children aged newborn-to-twelve in the preschool, toddler and school age programs up to grade 6. I am currently employed by the YMCA where I have gained valuable experience in the before and after school program and currently work in the toddler program. I also had the opportunity to supply teach for other schools and classrooms. I had the opportunity with my placements to work in a Montessori school and a Daycare Centre. This gave me the opportunity to gain different experiences to add to my learning skills. I believe that I would be a valuable addition, where I can continue to help kids learn in a fun, creative and safe environment, and contribute to their growth and wellbeing. I met Justina through the YMCA's after school program. My daughter felt very comfortable with Justina and was excited to see her each day after school. Justina then started babysitting at my home on weekends and on school days when one of my kids has been ill. On numerous occasions I have observed Justina with my children and with other children. She is very kind, enthusiastic, and she has a patient way with them. When she babysits, she engages with the kids the entire time in playful or learning-based activities. I know when I cannot be with my kids, they are receiving excellent care by Justina.
