Hello families! My name is Brittany, I have been a professional nanny in the Vancouver Metro area for 7 years and I have been working with babies and children in various settings for 13 years (tutoring, daycare, girl guides, etc.) In addition to my full-time & elite level nanny position, I am currently looking to fill my extra time with additional positions of care. The areas that work best for me are North Burnaby and North Vancouver, but I am willing to look into travelling to other areas as I do have my own car. I have my Bachelor's Degree from SFU which is entirely focused on early learning and how to best aid in the emotional and intellectual development of children. I truly take pride in my childcare skills. Not only is it something that has always come naturally to me, but I have worked endlessly to immerse myself in the world of child development and further education. My areas of expertise extend into a multitude of subject areas, including: self-regulation, emotional intelligence, baby milestones, developmental delays, picky eating & nutrition, sleep habits, and attachment styles, to name only a few! When it comes to occasional babysitting, I would love to find families who would like to find a long-term and reliable caregiver for their children. I prefer to stick with families longer-term so I can build a fun-loving and healthy relationship with the children. I highly recommend Brittany! She took care of our son (3 times/week), who was at the time a little over a year old, and our son loved her from the very beginning. She interacted with him in a cheerful yet calm way, and she always looked for creative ideas to play with him. She was punctual and reliable, giving us plenty of notice if there was a change in schedule (which rarely happened). What I also really liked about Brittany was how easy it was to work with her. I never had to explain anything to her more than once, and if there were any changes she was quick to adapt. She was highly independent and sometimes even did more than we asked her for. Brittany is truly passionate about children and teaching, and it is obvious she gets a lot of joy from interacting with children. She is still our go to nanny for occasional weekend evenings.

Brittany was our son’s nanny for four months this summer, starting April 2018 when he had just turned 3 years old. She took care of our son and another 2 year old boy as part of a nanny-share arrangement. It is without hesitation that I recommend Brittany to any family looking for a responsible, enthusiastic, and loving caregiver. Our son is a very energetic child and Brittany expertly balanced his needs with those of the other child, showing nothing but love and patience for them both. She took the children out on adventures every day, rain or shine, always eager for them to experience something new. At the same time, she understood the importance of having a routine, and always ensured the kids were home in time for consistent meals and nap. Brittany's creativity never failed to amaze us; we came home to fun arts and crafts projects almost every day. She also encouraged independence and taught the boys new skills on a regular basis. During her time with us she even potty-trained our son. Any family would be lucky to have her as their children’s nanny and I would be happy to speak further about Brittany and her qualifications.
