Hi there, my name is Emily! I am 24 years old and am a highly experienced childcare worker. I am currently looking for an occasional babysitting job, or very flexible part-time as I do work remotely 9-5! I worked at a daycare in Toronto for around 6 years right up until the pandemic. I have also spent the last 2 years nannying. I am extremely passionate about working with kids and take the job seriously, as I think it is incredibly important that kids are surrounded by impactful and influential people in their youth. My experience is primarily with children ages 6 months to 8 years, although I do have some experience babysitting older kids as well. Through working at a daycare for so long I got the opportunity to meet so many incredible and diverse children. This taught me to apply my skills in this field to each and every individual differently according to their specific needs. Over my years in this field, I have learned the importance of routine and schedule in a child's life and and am able to encourage and assist with that as a childcare worker. It is important in a child's daily routine that there is balance and variety and I intend to provide that with different daily actives using fine motor, gross motor and sensory activities. I am also an extremely active person and I love the outdoors so I will always be up for a trip to the park or a walk around the neighbourhood.
