Hi there! More to come soon, but the short story is that my husband and I are moving from Ottawa back to the GTA and I looking to make my years of experience with and passion for children into a new career. I am extremely hard-working, very easy to get along with and connect very easily with kids of all ages. I am exceptionally organized and could wonders for your kids and your household! I love animals and am more than willing to take their care of o your hands. I am a family-first thinker and have been told I add warmth and joy to any home. I have had an extensive amount of experience with children of all ages and all learning levels. I was the program coordinator at a summer camp of 400 kids aged 5 thru 18 for four summers in my late teens and early twenties. I provided one-on-one tutoring for kids aged 7 thru to university students, most of whom suffered from a variety of learning disabilities raging from comprehension difficulties to profound, clinically diagnosed disabilities. My specialty lies in connecting with children of all ages and in developing and implanting unique learning strategies to help them overcome their challenges and succeed academically. I am a regular volunteer at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario where I work with infants through teens suffering from a variety of serious or life-threatening illnesses. I help run the playroom, which is a place for kids to engage with other patients and continue to learn and grow academically and socially. I have also worked at the bedside with children who are unable to make it to playroom for whatever reason. In addition to this I am a stepmother to a fabulous teenage stepson! I am comfortable with a variety of ages and can handle the care of multiple children at once.
