Hi my name is Carol and I am a retired flight attendant with a major canadian airline. During the course of my career I had to deal with hundreds of children of all ages and attention spans! I always enjoyed that part and had fun playing with the children and, in the good ole days, inviting them to the cockpit for a visit. The airline required that we have training on a yearly basis in St Johns First Aid and in the last 5 years we added CPR. We also had training in Food Safe and choking. I became involved in an organization called "Volunteer Grandparents" and was matched up with a wonderful family 5 years ago. I now have two grandchildren, ages 9 an 12. We have alot of fun together and I am a huge supporter of their piano concerts, dance recitals, swim meets, etc. I volunteer at Queen Mary School as a "reader" once a week for grades 2 and 3 and find it very rewarding to see the improvements of the students during the year. I am really looking for some babysitting in the evening or for the odd day time . If the match worked out, I would be willing to stay the odd weekend to give the parent or parents a break. Lets talk.
