Hi my name is Brit! I am a very enthusiastic, active and energetic, and friendly person. I love to work with children and as a result I have excellent child care skills. Some of my passions include: 1. Cooking and entertaining: I come from a big family and my mother taught me very well :) 2. Drawing and painting (My ambition is to become a Graphic Designer). 3. Physical exercise including: running, hiking, skiing (snow and water). 4. Reading (Fiction is my favourite genre). I am very passionate about living a fun, healthy and active lifestyle and enjoy passing on that passion to others. Upon graduating from the University of Guelph with a B.Comm in Hotel and Food Administration in 2012 I moved to Whistler, British Columbia as I was given the opportunity to work for Whistler Blackcomb Mountain. For the past year I have been working as Snow School Sales Representative for Whistler Kids Ski and Snowboard School. In 2009 I obtained my Current Level 1 Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance Certificate. Although living and working out west was so much fun, I have moved back to Ontario to be near my family. I look forward to hearing from you, and I hope I can help out! I volunteered with the Girl Guides of Canada throughout high school and early university. I was a Sparks leader. Sparks meet on a weekly basis for at least an hour at a time. The girls are usually between the ages of 5 and 6. Some examples of the activities Sparks would partake in: 1. Discovering the community through outings 2. Exploring the arts by making collages or creating a dance 3. Learning about bike safety 4. Having fun preparing simple, healthy snacks 5. Discovering the outdoors on a nature scavenger hunt 6. Having sleepovers or going to a weekend camp. Furthermore I am the proud aunt of an amazing 4 year old girl. Ever since the day she was born I take every opportunity to see my niece, and play with her. This year I taught her how to snow ski :) She was unbelievable.
