Nanny in Victoria, British Columbia

Hi families! I am a 22 year old female. I am on the tail end of a degree in Psychology (child development and disabilities) at the University of Victoria. I have been working with children for many years and have always had a passion. I currently do a few nights at VI Fitness gym in their child care section and I am a Lieutenant in the army cadet program. This means I work with cadets (ages 12-18) administering and teaching the program sections, as well as, teaching the band. My goal is to become a behaviour interventionist for children with autism. I love music and am very athletic and am always enthusiastic. I love to engage in activities and play! I hope you like my resume! Thanks for your consideration I have held a number of babysitting and nanny positions throughout my school years and university years. These were varying ages, the youngest being two month of age. In high school I worked in a daycare (children from 6 weeks to 12 years generally). We watched the children at home, having many activities with them (inside games- play dough, painting, drawing, baking, etc. and outdoor, backyard jungle gym, sports day, water balloon games, etc.), and we took them for trips to the school (behind the house) to play bigger games, to the fair, etc. I also spent time working with a little boy next door to my family who had an intellectual disability and autism. I currently work at a gym in the child care department. Caring for many children of varying ages of one time (daycare like setting). Included are many chore tasks and cleaning. Currently doing a degree in psychology with a focus in child development and disabilities. I just finished my fourth year and will have one more year to complete. I have also sat in on intervention sessions of a boy with HIgh-Functioning Autism.
