Hi...my name is Clare and I am a qualified Social Worker who has recently arrived in Canada from England. I have a significant amount of experience working with children as a supply teacher, as a day care teacher and as a social worker. As a substitute teacher at a daycare centre, I have been responsible for providing a safe comfortable and fun atmosphere for all children. I have the ability to demonstrate patience and understanding in difficult situations and I am skilled at re-directing a child's inappropiate behaviour. I enjoy circle-time, preparing snacks and making sure that each schil sleeps during npa time. I cope well in high stress situations and I am an effective team player. I currently work as a supply daycare teacher As a TEFL teacher in India and Thailand I worked extensively with children under the age of 6 using a variety of teaching styles which included, demonstrating and modelling tasks, facilitating activities and delegating responsibility when appropriate. I am able to plan lessons according to specific subject matter and create effective and meaningful learning experience for all children.
