Hello families! My name is Jenna, I am a Registered Practical Nurse and will be continuing my studies in the Fall to complete my BScN. I have many years of experience in caring for children of all ages, as well as experience in caring for children with various special needs. I was employed by the City of Oshawa for 2 summers as a Special Needs Counselor. My duties were to provide one-to-one care for children with various special learning, behavioural and developmental needs with the ultimate goal of involving the child in activities with other children in the group. For this position I had training through the City and Kinark for working with children with communication and behavioural challenges. I was awarded a Letter of Commendation from the City of Oshawa for my work as a Special Needs Counselor. I am a Registered Practical Nurse currently, and am working towards completing my BScN. I enjoy, am comfortable, and have proven an ability to care for children of various ages and special needs.
