Nanny in Toronto, Ontario

Hello Families, my name is Cassandra. I am currently looking for a part-time nanny position. I also work part-time at mental health therapy centre as a Social Worker and Mindful Self-Compassion Facilitator. I am a very friendly, positive, and kindhearted person who loves working with children. I believe in fostering relationships with children rooted in compassion, mindfulness, and well-being, while giving them the space to grow, play, learn and explore. I believe in communicating with children with kindness and patience. I have always found that children feel very comfortable around me and I feel very comfortable around them. I have worked with children throughout the past 10 years of my life. Throughout these years I have been a SickKids Child Life Volunteer (2 years), City of Toronto Camp Counsellor (7 years), a Boys and Girls Club Counsellor (2 years), a nanny/babysitter (10 years), as well as a tutor (2 years). I have tons of experience working with children ages 0-12. As a nanny, I love helping out around the house in any way that I can. In past positions I have helped prepare meals, drop off/ pick children up from daycare/school, tidy up the house, put away laundry, and get children ready for bed. Working with kids brightens my day and fills me with energy. I believe children are our greatest teachers to help us regain a sense of wonder and awe at the world. I love being active, the outdoors, as well as being creative. If possible I love incorporating fun adventures into the time I spend working with children, such as trips to the park and art activities. I am a certified yoga instructor, so if kids are interested I love to integrate some children's yoga and mindfulness exercises. I absolutely love reading books to children and getting them excited about learning about the world and our place within it.
