Hello and welcome to my profile. I am a mature woman with vast experience in childcare and parent support. I blend into homes and make the impossible possible. I need little direction once we have established a good working routine. I make sound decisions and support the parents ideals with regard to their family. I am a good place to come home to for the child and the parent. I love to teach and guide and most of all cherish the children in my care. During our initial interviews I can offer many letters of reference . Deciding to hire an outsider is a big step for parents and I will try and make it a pleasant experience. I have cared for 32 children from newborn to 13 years of age. I am able to take part in their development and attend extra lessons and activities with them also. I cherish the time I spend with children. I don't perform as an employee but rather a link between the children and their own families. I strongly respect nutrition and teaching children how to grow in society. I am loving and sentimental but I am firm when it is needed. Each child deserves to be loved and to grow and feel accomplished. I have been active in many school systems within London, Ontario and I have attended almost all of the after school venues in the region at one time or another. I feel at home at the "homework table", the stove and the laundry room. I don't sit and waste a moment of time. If the children are playing I find a task to do. If we are busy with activities, the children come first. I am an exceptional cook. I have a strong artistic flair and even the recycle bin leads itself into great art projects. I am mature in years and have an open agenda if the families need me to provide extra hours. Parents need to know they can arrive a little late and not feel bad about it. I have been working with children since 1996 and hope to continue with a limited amount of hours.
