Hello! I'm Serena and I'm 27 years of age. I'm new to Kelowna and I'm searching for a care giver placement. I have a degree in developmental psychology and my career has been dedicated to supporting children educationally, socially, and emotionally. I believe strongly in creating a safe environment for children to play, learn, grow, and develop! I have over 12 years of experience working with children. I am a social worker who will one day be a children's therapist. At my previous job, I was responsible for teaching weekly parenting classes as well as leading behaviour management circle times for children ages 6mo-8y/o. I have extensive experience with infants, toddlers, and neurodivergent children. When it comes to supporting kids, I believe in emotion coaching, patience, kindness, and fun!
