Hello, My name Is Krysten and I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator with the Colleges of ECE's. I also have a Diploma in Infant Mental Health. Child development has been an interest of mine since I was very young. After I received my diploma in Early Childhood Education, I knew there was still more I wanted to learn about children. Young brain development and the correlation between relationships, environments and trauma was a further point of interest to me. I learned quickly through experience in childcare, that I wanted to do more - I wanted to help more. This is where Infant Mental Health came into my horizon, taking a small career shift. Taking this course has guided me through several assessments for children, as well as intervention and prevention plans. I also have gained a lot of knowledge of attachment theories and family compositions and dynamics. I am currently looking to start my own daycare in my home after years of experience in families homes and licensed daycares. I have a natural passion for young children and believe they thrive from structure, engagement and caring relationships. My educational background gives me the ability to work closely with your children (and their families) helping them learn and play according to their level of development. I am loving, energetic, athletic, and always ready to play with children, as well as, observe and nurture their natural discoveries and strengthen their learning experiences. I can prepare healthy home-cooked meals and provide comfort and security to children from birth-12 years old. I am a wife and step-mother to our three-year-old son, that I dedicate my heart and time. I own an 8 seater vehicle with a full Ontario G license and can use it for transportation with the children for outings/errands as well as pickup and drop-offs. I have 1 rear-racing Diono Radian car seat currently installed - this leaves 5 more car seat certified seats.
