Nanny in Ottawa, Ontario

Hello! My name is Beth Connell. I am currently working full-time and living in Ottawa in the South Keys area. I am very experienced with children as I have been a part-time nanny for 7 years. A bit more about my experience: I grew up in a family of 9 with dozens of cousins so am well acquainted with children. In addition to often being put in charge of younger siblings/cousins and now nephews, from the age of 13, I started occasionally babysitting for many of the young families in my area for date nights/doctor appointments/just a day off/etc. I was hired more formally a few times a week as a nanny/housekeeper for a couple of years for one of these families where I would do everything with their children from first thing in the morning until they were put to bed at night. I would help with music lessons (I was a stepdancer for 6 years and a piano player since age 5) and homework, I would read stories, put them down for naps, and play every game we could think of. I was also taken on tours with a family band to mind their youngest children during shows. With my own car and round the clock experience with children, I am open to regular after-school/bedtime help (beginning after 4:30pm) or late-night date nights. I can occasionally make myself available for weekend help, though may not be able to commit to full-day weekend hours. Thanks! -beth
