Nanny in Lake Country, British Columbia

I'm an
Individual
Hi, my name is Adrienne. I'm 29 years old and I worked as a full time nanny for over 3 years between 2016 and 2019. I did take a break from working in childcare to explore a different line of work but am eager to resume a role as a caregiver/nanny. I am a lover of good old fresh air and the outdoors. I can often be found walking in the woods with my 2 dogs, and sometimes out fishing a local lake with my partner. I take my role of "aunty" very seriously and love spending time with my two nephews and two nieces. (They are included in my profile pics 🙂) I believe my past childcare employers would describe me as creative, helpful and loving. Most of my experience has been with infants and toddlers (8mo-3yrs,) but I have experience caring for children of almost every age. I can provide references from all of my previous nannying positions. I attended a 2-hour course on infant and child choking and CPR practices in June 2018. It was offered by 'The Mama Coach.' That being said, I would also be willing to complete a full CPR course if necessary for the right position. Previous responsibilities: - caring for infants, toddlers and school-aged children - tending to the emotional needs as well as the physical needs of the child(ren) - preparing meals and snacks with care - feeding a special diet and administering medication, if directed - diaper duty - playing, reading books and singing songs - creating enriching crafts, activities every day - tidying common areas, kitchen, children's bedroom - children's laundry (plus laundry support for other family members) - washing dishes from our day/ dishwasher duty - taking trips via stroller, on foot or by car - attending library programs with child Unique experience: - caring for two toddlers simultaneously (nanny-share) - teaching/speaking French - teaching/using baby sign language - changing and cleaning cloth diapers - some montessori knowledge/experience - driving children to activities Things I appreciate finding in an employer: - open communication - sense of humor - honesty Please send me a message if you think I'd be a potential fit for your family's needs.
