Nanny in Langley, British Columbia

Hello, My name is Michelle and I am a 34 year old, mature and professional nanny with 4 years experience and wonderful references and qualifications. I am a non smoking, healthy and fit woman, and I love to be active and spend most of my time outdoors. I am very warm and nurturing by nature, and have a passion for working with young children. I have my infant cpr and first aid qualifications, and I have specialized in the infant/toddler age group over the past 4 years. I am hoping to find a new family to join come July 2021. I am looking to find a family in the Langley area ideally. I am a Canadian Citizen, from Vancouver, BC. Since entering into childcare I have discovered my passion for working with children and helping them with early childhood education and development. I am very upbeat and respectful with the children I work with, and I have created many lasting bonds with families and children I have worked with over the years. I have wonderful references, a clean background check and I am very qualified with safety conciousness being my main priority. I have experience with infants and toddlers specifically, as well as ages up to 8 years. I also have experience with twins, multiple babies, as well as special needs children. I believe in the RIE parenting method, which focuses on trust, respect and a deep connection with each child. I believe in allowing every child to be their own human being, and reach their goals, with minimal support from their caregiver, so that they can feel good about achieving their own successes. I believe in comforting each child and allowing them to express their emotions without limitation, but limiting certain behaviors instead, and directing them in a positive way to make the best choices and be the best they can be in their own skin. It is important to allow every child to feel good about who they are and provide guidance for them to reach their goals and be proud of their achievements. I am available for a full time or part time nanny position from Monday to Friday. Duties included in the rate: general housecleaning, dishwasher, tidying up after children, tidying toys and play areas, basic meal preparation, bottle feeding, nap time, school pick-up, drop-off at activites, help with homework and reading, and general pet care.
