Nanny in Oshawa, Ontario

Hi there my name is Jennifer, nice to meet you! I am an experience nanny and professional newborn/baby photographer looking for a part time nanny position. I am also a single mom to my sweet 7 year old daughter who is in school full time. Recently with the economic hardship many are going through, my photography business, which has been full-time since 2018, has been very slow. I am looking for a part-time nanny job so I can continue to support my daughter while getting to connect and help another family and continue my photography on a part-time basis. My location: I am located in the North part of Oshawa and hoping to find a local family as I do not drive. Hopefully within walking distance or accessible via bus. I am also open to the option of nannying within my home as it is just myself home all day and have created a cozy and safe environment which I am happy to baby proof should a family like me to provide care in my home. My expertise: I've had about 10 years of experience as a nanny/in a daycare setting. I started working at a daycare upon completing high school and soon after found my love for nannying. I have nannied for multiple families over the years, usually lasting up until the children started kindergarten. It was wonderful getting to connect with these families and really grow to feel like part of their family, that is something that is important to me. I am also a professional newborn and baby/family photographer and am happy to share my page for credibility. I have had many families compliment me on my kindness and patience with their babies/children and often joked that I am the baby whisperer and about hiring me as their nanny! I am also a mother myself which I find brings comfort to families. I am comfort with caring of multiples, children with special needs, light household duties and assisting with some meal prep. My availability: I am hoping to find a nanny job that is 3 days a week but am flexible on which weekdays those are based on a families needs. I can also potentially make myself available on weekends but with the understanding that some weekends would have to be taken off, scheduled in advance of course. If working weekends my 7 year old daughter would have to come along as well. She is very kind and spunky and loves being around other babies/children due to her fun loving nature. I can start asap with potentially a few dates to work around. References: It's been many years since nannying but I am thankful that I am still connected with the families I have nannied for. Getting to see their kids grow as they share on social media has been wonderful and I would happily be able to get references from them as needed.
