Hello, my name is Megan and I am 41 years old. I am a responsible caregiver with over a decade of experience with children of varying ages. I am currently available to provide care from my home at Lambton and Rockcliffe. I have 3 of my own children, ages 10, 5, and 3. They enjoy the friendships they've made over the years through my work in childcare. I provide a fun and active environment for children in my care. I have a BFA with Honours in Dance and enjoy engaging creativity through music and movement. I am also a painter and love crafts. My happy place is outdoors in nature and I love going for walks. I am trustworthy, patient, responsible, sensitive, creative and confident. As a caregiver, I am experienced with planning daily outings to the library, park, splash pad, children's play groups (Early Years Center), running errands, play dates with neighbourhood children, or any planned activities your child enjoys (swimming lessons, indoor play gyms, children's museum). I also prepare healthy meals, continue regular nap schedules to ensure happy, well rested children, plan everyday indoor activities like crafts, dancing, reading and dress up to encourage socialization between all children in my care. I work on developmental activities appropriate for your child's age group. I am a very loving individual and treat all children in my care as if they were my own. I lead by example and teach appropriate manners and good habits (cleaning up after ones self, sharing with one another, expressing feelings constructively). I am attentive and observant . I speak to children as I would an adult and ensure they are heard and develop confidence in expressing their feelings. I enjoy preparing nutritious and tasty meals and snacks, and am well versed in vegan\vegetarian cooking and have extensive experience with food allergies and specialty diets. I am experienced with cloth diapering as well as disposables and have lots of experience with potty training. I am most familiar with the Junction/High Park/Stockyards/Bloor West\Baby Pointe/Mount Dennis areas which are very child friendly and within walking distance of my home. I currently reside north of the Junction area and could easily service clients with children attending George Syme, Mountview Alternative, High Park Alternative, Annette Street Jr. and Sr. P.S. and St. Cecilia Catholic Elementary. I completed my CPR/AED Level C renewal on July 30, 2016 and have a Police Check (June 21, 2024). I have my own vehicle (minivan with many carseats) and G license.
