Nanny in Waterloo, Ontario

Hello, My name is Laura and I was born and raised in London, ON. From a young age, I was motivated and drawn towards working with children. That being said, It wasn't surprising to my family and friends when I applied to the Child and Youth Worker program in 2013. On June 8th 2016, I graduated from Fleming College with an advanced diploma in Child and Youth Work. During my time in the program, I had the opportunity to work at various placement sites including: Merrymount Family Support and Crisis Centre, Northbrae Public School and R. F Downey Public School. These placements allowed me to put my theory into practice and gain the necessary experience to work with a diverse group of young individuals. I have a special place in my heart for many of the children I had the pleasure of collaborating with. Along with these opportunities, I also have had experience as a nanny (September-June), providing day care for a one year old boy and four year old girl. The oldest just started school so I looked after her on PD days and sick days. I am determined to constantly learn, evolve and adjust my practice because I believe that this process never stops.
