My name is Gigi and thank you for looking at my profile! I am looking for a part-time. A Bit about Myself: Ever since the age of 12, Ive wanted to work with kids. I really discovered my passion when I started babysitting the two kids of a friend of my moms. From that point forward, I took on several babysitting positions. I then realized I wanted to become a registered Early Childhood Educator and enrolled myself in the George Brown College program. I got accepted to the program, yay! Since coming to Toronto 2016, I have worked as a live-in nanny and a live-out nanny. What makes me qualified for this job? I am organized, punctual, hard-working and well-educated in the area of child care! I love spending time outside with the children. I am very creative and love arts and crafts. Very social, love to find other nannies and children that we can interact with. Community is important to me; I believe this is an important aspect of a childs development. Taking the children to different drop-in centers, going to nearest parks and libraries! Ive become a good cook and I am willing to do meal preparation. I am happy to do light housekeeping, run errands that need to be done and care for any pets (if you have one in the home). I have my drivers license and do have a vehicle. I am willing to travel with the family if needed! Also, Im bilingual, I speak both French and English. My Experience: In 2016, I embarked on my first nanny job (live-in) in the Beaches with a 2-year-old boy. This is when I truly realized how much I loved being a nanny! Last summer, I was a nanny for a family of three children, from the ages of eight months, seven and ten years old. My duties in both jobs included light housekeeping, meal preparation and outings with the children. I have experience working in daycares with many different age groups ranging 0-12 years old. As an Early Childhood Educator, my role was focusing on the development of the children and teaching them through a play-based curriculum. I implemented developmentally appropriate activities for the children, to enhance their learning. I have all kinds of experience working with children. I would love to apply the knowledge that I have obtained in my Early Child Education Program and working as an ECE in both school/daycare setting as well as my experience as a nanny.
