My name is Kelsey and I am a young woman with 6 years of childcare experience. I currently live in Nelson, BC and plan on growing some roots here over the next few years. My experience varies from tying shoelaces to elementary students (bilingual Educational Assistant), organizing and guiding summer camps for super heroes in training and for young artists, and all the way back to the valuable basics of assisting families with their home and child care needs.most recently, I have become a doula and am working towards establishing the skills in the birth world. My training has been through experience. I hold a valid Class 5 BC drivers license though no vehicle. I am certified in First Aid, CPR certified as well as level 1 food safe, non-violent crisis intervention training, and doula training. A little bit about myself; I am an expressive, artistic, health orientated young woman who is passionate about providing a holistic childcare experience for you and your family. I love to dance, ski, run, hike, create. I sing in the local choir, Corazón, am involved in the local spoken word/ poetry slam community. I am also an experienced cook and find myself spending most of my free time in the kitchen concocting nutritiously delicious meals and treats. With the guidance of the parents, I hope to provide a truly enriching experience for the whole family.
