Nanny in Vancouver, British Columbia

Hello Parents, I am an experienced nanny (10 years experience with primarily infants and toddlers) in the Vancouver area and I have been vetted and recruited by one of the most well regarded agencies in Vancouver West Coast Sitters. My style is all about negotiation and equality between care giver and child. My favourite age to start is infancy as there is nothing as remarkable as seeing little people develop and acquire new skills and no joy as great as a baby's laughter. I believe in logical consequences, patience, play and positive reinforcement. I am empathetic, playful and attentive. In addition I have taken sign language courses and encouraged language acquisition with the infants I have worked with. I have my first level of culinary arts degree from VCC and am very comfortable with meal prep, and light housework. I have a Bachelors Degree in psychology and have taken multiple childhood development courses. I began nannying as teen when I lived with families over the summer and formed lifelong friendships with the children and parents. After high school I worked as a chef for a few years; however I simply didn't have the same love for the restaurant industry as I did for childcare and development. At which point I began part time nannying around my classes for a local doctor and her one year old. When he went to preschool and i finished my associates degree I went backpacking around Europe, where I visited 32 cities and 18 countries, ask me about it. When I returned I worked for a family visiting from LA to film a show for almost a year before they returned, and I have nannied countless families now.
