Nanny in Ottawa, Ontario

Hi there, My name is Cassandra Calamusa, I am 24 years old, and am graduating from my undergrad at the University of Ottawa this June. With a passion for working with children and extensive experience in the childcare industry I feel that I would be a good fit for your family. I hold a valid G drivers license, as well as fully certified in first AID/CPR. I will also have my own vehicle as of the end of April so I will be able to get to and from your place conveniently. My experience over the past years has allowed me to develop excellent resourceful, planning and implementing skills in order to provide stimulating activities for children which are age appropriate. I have worked with children ages 3months- 13 years old, in many different environments including daycares, preschools, Montessori schools, as well as being a nanny. I was recently accepted into the teachers college program at the University of Ottawa for September 2016 where I will pursue my career as an elementary school teacher. I am available full-time during the summer, as well as part-time during the school year. Working with children has always been my passion, and helping them grow and learn is just an added bonus, which is why I am continuing to pursue my career in the field of teaching. I am currently a supply teacher at OMS (Ottawa Montessori School) while still in school full-time, as well as a nanny to two little boys ages 4 and 6, however it saddens me that they will be moving to Duhbai once the boys finish up the school year. I have had such a pleasurable experience working with these two boys over the last two years which is what encouraged me to find another nanny position. Not only has working with these boys taught me a lot about them, but I also got to relive my childhood vicariously through them, which has been the best part of the job. Being able to leave my school and go to work, let loose, and have some fun has made this job so rewarding. Most importantly, being a nanny doesn't even feel like a job to me anymore, I thoroughly enjoy going to work everyday to spend time with the boys, going on adventures and playing games.
