Nanny in Nanaimo, British Columbia

I am a woman in the last few months of her twentieth year (I.e. I'm almost twenty-one, which sounds more adult than twenty). I recently graduated from university, receiving my BA in English. My particular area of study is Children's Literature, and I possess a vast library that your children will be welcome to borrow from. I'm also an experienced actor and singer, with many other passions on the side. It may seem ambitious to say that I've been working with kids since I was eleven, but it's true! After I took the babysitting course, I dove into the workforce! I babysat for many years as a side job while I was in school. Five years ago I started working as an instructor at a local musical theatre summer camp as a Junior Leader. Two years after that I became one of the primary instructors at that camp. At this point in time, I work all three musical theatre summer camps in Qualicum, with care ranging from ages 6-18. Last year, I worked six months as a live-in nanny for a local family. During that time I took care of a four year old boy with a ton of energy, as well as providing support for the extended family--in particular, two teenagers with various special needs. I'm passionate about engaging with children's needs and am very excited to meet you and your kids! I'm currently a New Driver, so I can only transport one person at a time in a car, but come September, I shall be allowed, by the rules of the road, to carry as many people as a car can legally contain.
