MY EXPERIENCE I was an au pair in the Netherlands for one year taking care of two lovely girls five and seven years old. I have worked as a teacher at public schools for two years, teaching kids and planning classes. As a teacher, I was in charge of teaching Portuguese and Science to children and teenagers. Working at a school was the main key for me to learn how to deal with and educate kids, having daily contact with them I have learned how to understand their needs and boundaries. As an au pair, my main duties were to prepare their breakfast and dinner; drop and pick them up from school; help with homework, take them to after-school activities; and make sure they were happy and having fun. As a nanny, I took care of several babies mostly in the rage of two to five years old being responsible for feeding them; changing nappies; bathing; putting to sleep; take them to parks and activities; organizing a safe and stimulating environment for their grown, health and comfort. I like to encourage outdoor activities like going to parks, sports, activities that stimulate imagination and arts in general. MY AVAILABILITY I am available for a nanny role from Monday to Friday and also can discuss working over weekends.
