Dear Family, With my experience, education and loving personality, I know that I would be an excellent person to care for your children.I love working with children and know it is something I would like to do for the rest of my life.I am a positive mentor and a calm and patient teacher. I am open-minded and easy to communicate with. My first position working with children lasted for seven years, all throughout my university education and after. I cared for two boys who have Autism in their homes. While they were teenagers, their capabilities were similar to a young child's. A great deal of my work included preparing meals, assisting with bathing and self care, introducing them to new experiences in the community and assisting with homework and other educational activities. Recently, I also had the opportunity to teach ESL in South Korea. The children I taught ranged from three years old to ten years old. My duties consisted of creating fun and educational lesson plans, providing proper guidance in learning social skills, supervision and ensuring the safety of my students, and providing a bit of mothering to the young ones who had never been away from home before.
