Nanny in Mississauga, Ontario

Dear Families, I am looking for a fresh, new start in my working life; a new start that would bring me happiness, fulfillment and a true sense of accomplishment. Although I\'ve never been paid on a professional level for my nanny/caregiving work, or for pet care, I do know that I have a lot of love, sharing and caring to offer a family; whether that be with children and/or pets. I did spend all of 2012 and half of 2013 as full time caregiver to my late mother. I took on the same role several years earlier, with my late father. I love children and pets and have spent a lot time collectively over the years, with both. I completely understand and respect the fact that families may be hesitant to trust in someone who has not worked in the field professionally. With that being understood, I can only hope that someone is willing to perhaps just meet with me for an interview. I do have a couple of people who would be more than happy to provide references, in terms of the type of work and care I dedicated to my late parents. Because I\'ve never been paid on a professional level, the caregiving references are the best I have to offer. I do have one last item I\'d like to mention, which by now, families will have seen on my profile. It is against my principles to lie about anything, which is why I had to check off the box for smokers. Again, I completely understand and respect that families would definitely be concerned about this. I realize that it\'s a gigantic red flag and most likely will not help my chances of attaining a caregiving position. I do promise you though, with utmost sincerity, that I can gladly go for hours without smoking and I would never \"try to get away with\" smoking on your property or inside your home. Nor would I transport children/pets in a vehicle that contained fresh/stale smoke, or bring smoking related items or clothing that contains the odour of smoke, into your home. I do hope that someone will give me an opportunity to meet with them for an interview even though I carry this red flag. Happy New Year to all and thank you for your possible consideration.
