Nanny in Cumberland, Ontario

Hi! My name is MacKenzie. I am an experienced and passionate nanny looking to join a family in Orleans or Cumberland, Ontario. I have taken a parental role course at my highschool which provided me with having to take care of a life like newborn baby through 3 days having to feed the baby, change the baby, burp the baby, etc. I also have experience with working with infants , and able to provide care for primary school aged children as well. I am open to both live-out and part-time positions, as well as summer-only work. I have always loved working with kids and being able to encourage their young minds and their imaginations. I have worked as a camp counsellor at the Ottawa School of Arts which provided me with the experience of being in charge of the safety and well being of 10-15 kids at a time and also letting me work one on one with the kids as well. I also have taught swimming course for young children starting at the age of 2. I grew up in two different environments as my parents are divorced. One of those households was a very loving Latin household being raised by my single mom and our family and the other house having a family of five with two step siblings and a stepmom, me and my dad. I have always been good with understanding kids and their needs because every kid is different and you have to learnt to adapt to each and every one of them. When it comes to conflict resolution I believe it’s best to understand what the child is feeling and why so that you can better understand on how to communicate with the child and how to resolve the conflict. I also take to heart really getting to know every child I work with because I love being able to get to know what their interests are so I can relate to them in anyway I can. If your child is sporty or artsy and you would like someone who can be able to keep them entertained i’m your girl! I’m currently one of the top 22 players on the women’s national tackle football team and have acted at the Ottawa School of Arts for many years plus loves dancing and singing.
