Who I Am: Hello my name is Kate. I have three years of nannying experience with kids aged 1-9, and a passion for children. Prior to that, I worked for 5 years in a large city hospital emergency department and have kept up with my first-aid training. I am currently studying to be a certified post-partum doula, birthing doula and perinatal educator and would love to work with a family to practice my skills with while I am certifying. I have a knack for understanding and connecting with kids and love coming up with new ways to help them learn and prepare them for the next stages of life in the most fun and interesting ways possible. I have experience with newborns and have been and am currently studying tons of tips and tricks and skills for making the post-partum period as smooth as possible. I am happy to come in and help give parents a much needed break by minding the kids, tidying and organizing or making sure everyone is getting nutritious meals. I am extremely comfortable in the kitchen (my husband is a professional chef & has taught me a few things) and I'm happy to do any of these things while you're home or if you are out. I am looking for daytime hours as I have an evening job as well. I love animals and am more than happy to help with pet care.
