Hello ! My name is Melissa. I'm 27 years old and I am from France. I am available to start taking care of your kids beginning of February. As a person, I am someone friendly, responsible and patient. I love children and I'm ready to give a lot of attention to them by being someone who make them feel in a safe and fun environment. I have over 4 years of experience as a nanny for 7 months to 3 years old children. I worked with families in England and Canada. I know how to engage with children by organising play time, going in play area in parks, doing reading and dancing activities. While in Vancouver, I was able to bring children in libraries, museum and Strong&Start program. I also have some experience in, in home daycare. Surpervising play time, lunch time and engaging with children through different types of activities. I am fluent in French, I can help your children with homework such as reading, exercises and having conversation in French. Melissa lived with our family in London for a year from late 2016 to late 2017. During this time she looked after our children, aged 1 and 4 at the beginning of her stay, for 3 full days per week. Her daily routine started straight after breakfast and ended around 5.30pm. she used to get the kids ready in the morning and take our son to school, followed by time spent at a local playgroup with the little one. After lunch, she would get the little one to sleep in her buggy. After school they often spent time in the playground. Melissa was quite young when she joined us. For that reason we agreed a fixed routine for her days with the children, something she applied successfully and was subsequently able to adapt very well to different circumstances, e.g. visits to the local farm or the zoo during school holidays. I also attended a paediatric first aid course together with Melissa. Melissa was quick to adapt to our family dynamics and parenting style, whilst forming a warm bond with both of our kids. Melissa was a great help in our everyday lives and demonstrated remarkable commitment, e.g. by helping out when both our kids had severe chicken pox simultaneously. Melissa is quietly confident, warm natured and level headed, very well suited for working with children in my opinion. Her stay with us exceeded all expectations and based on this I can warmly recommend her for similar work in the future.
