Nanny in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario

I am a 23 year old graduate from Western University where I studied biology/ecology. I have spent the last year working in conservation in BC (originally from Ontario). I was an intern for the BC Wildlife Federation last summer and recently completed a placement with Parks Canada and the Southern Resident Killer Whale Conservation Project on Vancouver Island. Although marine conservation is what I am passionate abut, I stepped away from my career trajectory a little this winter and moved to Revelstoke, BC for a few months. It was a pretty special location to spend winter but I have decided to move home for a little while to be closer to family and friends. As such, I have just returned home to Niagara on the lake and am looking to fill some time this spring/summer while I figure out my next steps. I have always loved working and inspiring youth and as such have a significant and diverse history with child care. Throughout high school, I babysat for various neighbours (as well as pet care), I previously worked at the Niagara Falls YMCA in after school/weekend childcare (working with multiple age groups from toddlers to primary school age). I have worked at the Niagara on the Lake sailing club for multiple summers teaching sailing to youth aged 8-12 and ensuring their safety on Lake Ontario each day. During my undergraduate degree, I volunteered with the Pathstone Mental health organization assisting with childminding and volunteered at the children Hospital in London, Ontario. This last year I have assisted with teaching at a local forest school in Niagara, helping to foster a love for nature in young minds. Moreover at the BC Wildlife federation I was tasked with organize and facilitating youth educational programs and activities related to conservation and restoration. I am a positive and compassionate individual, and am open to discussing any opportunity! :)
