Hi there! My name is Grace Bellmore and I love children! I am an online university student who has extended experience in young child care, as well as leadership experiences working with youth in particular. I have been babysitting since I was 12. I am attending Laurentian University for an undergrad in "Equity Diversity and Human Rights", with a minor in "History", in hope to become a teacher! I am intending on completing my masters in education and becoming a full time teacher one day! In the meantime, I am looking to build my professional portfolio with as much childcare experiance as I can develop! As of right now, this includes working with the Rainbow District School Board as a literacy educator for 2 years, as a daycare provider for young children with the YMCA and Laurentian Daycare as well as a camp counsellor for the Sudbury Performance Group! Since I was young, I dreamed of having two jobs: being a teacher for first graders by day, and a comedian/actress by night. Though my dreams have changed a bit, my love of youth, educating them, and watching them grow is still a massive drive within my life. I have been a camp councillor, an assistant teacher, an improv coach, a theatre director, tutors as well as just the person at the family gathering who loves to play with the toddlers! My specialties include activities to keep children engaged, de-escalation of tantrums and/or high emotionally charged moments, special care for youth with unique learning needs, and tutoring!
