Hi there! My name is Nicole. I am looking for a full-time position with the right family; ideally long-term but at least a year long contract. I graduated with a Bachelor's of ECCE from Capilano University and hold Early Childhood Educator, Infant/Toddler Educator, and Special Needs Educator certificates. I also have a full driver's license with my own vehicle, am a licensed Child Passenger Safety Technician, and hold a First Aid Level C certificate. I have over 10 years of experience working with children, including 4 years of full-time nanny/household manager experience. I have also previously worked as an Infant/Toddler Educator and Room Supervisor in a childcare centre and am currently an On-Call Educator for SFU Childcare Society . From a young age, working with children and families has been my passion; I aim to fit seamlessly into the lives of my clients by supporting their family ideals and providing expertise in areas of infant and child development. I love working with children to help them develop their place in the world and find their own special interests and strengths. I prefer working with children under 3, but have experience with children as young as 6 weeks to as old as 13. My background is in developmental psychology, learning through play, artistic place-based curriculum inspired by work in Reggio Emilia, and sensitive caregiving. Aside from tasks relating directly to the care of the child, I am willing to do light children-related housework (laundry, tidying children's rooms, organizing etc.), errands, and meal prep if need be, as well as tasks related to household management when appropriate.
