Nanny in Vancouver, British Columbia

Hello Parents! My name is Arielle, and I am a mother of a 2 year old toddler looking for another toddler to take care of alongside my own! My current nanny kid is going back to his home since his mom is going on Mat leave, so we are looking for another friend to join our adventures in Sept-Oct! I have many years of experience in child care, including Supervisor of a large non-profit childcare with the Association of Neighbourhood Houses for 4 years, as well as individual nanny work with young children. I have also been a youth worker, and an addictions recovery counsellor. So my reach as a 'helper' is wide and I apply that to my work. I went to school for Holistic Wellness Counselling and Life Couching on top of my life experience as a mother, nanny, musician and community engager. I am arts AND science oriented - and know how to get children to have fun while they learn in all ways! I love taking kids out on adventures and believe being outside and interacting with others (of ALL ages) is very important. I am musical and artistic and love to sing, draw, play, and talk about everything we see and do. I am not afraid to jump in and be a part of the magical world of imaginative play. We like puppets and story time and dress up and looking at beautiful things together. My son has been able to use conversational English since he was 19 months old! He can already say his feelings instead of tantrum, joke, tell stories, explain what he did that day and sing songs along with the guitar! We talk and sing all day! I am looking for a position that allows me to care for my own son while I look after your child ages 18-36 months ideally. They will be best friends! We currently live in South East Vancouver but are probably moving to New Westminster or East Burnaby area so are looking for a family that either lives near there or are flexible to commute half the time and us come to you the other half. We are public transit people and my son loves talking to people on the bus and skytrain. We hope to hear from you!
