Nanny in Rossland, British Columbia

Hello, I am a stay at home Mom, looking for another child to join us during the day, toddler age preferred as my little guy is 18mo. Previous experience.... My mother worked as a grade one teacher, I volunteered in her class through out the year doing various activities and helping with the Reading Recovery program. I have babysat on numerous occasions, children between the ages of newborn to 10 years old. In the past I worked with 2 different nanny shares, the first with two boys from the time they were 1 to 2.5 and the second family was a boy and girl aged 1.5 and 2.5 Daily activities include: • Get kids ready for the day • Prepare and feed breakfast and lunch • Engage in activities • Taking children to beaches and playgrounds • Assisting with language acquisition and development • Teaching letters, numbers, and colors • Teaching manners and other socially appropriate behaviour • Doing arts and crafts • Reading books • Take to music,art and sport classes • Organizing and cleaning children's play area • Ensure house stays tidy • Report back to parents about the day and behaviour of the children • Provide ideas and recommendations for weekend activities Previous to that I did after school care for an eight year old boy for three years • Picking up from daycare • Making dinner • Engage in activities • Exploring outdoors • Helping with homework • Engaging in learning activities • Read stories • Get ready for and put to bed • Organizing and cleaning play area • Cleaning up in the kitchen
