Nanny in Toronto, Ontario
I'm an
Individual
Hello!
I am an experienced, university-educated nanny seeking new families to work with, ideally downtown or in Toronto's west end. I hold a degree in sociology from Toronto Metropolitan University (formally Ryerson University) and have also attended the Haliburton School of Art and Design, completing a studio-based program in textiles and fibre art. I have over ten years of experience as a private childcare provider and have worked with over a dozen Toronto families, caring for children ages 5 weeks to 12 years. My most recent criminal record check was issued at the end of 2017, but I am happy to have this reissued. I am fully-vaccinated against COVID-19 and will only consider positions with families who are also fully-vaccinated.
I would like to connect with a family that is living mindfully, parenting respectfully, and wishes to foster a healthy and positive relationship with their caregiver. As a nanny, I believe I am warm and loving, providing children with calm energy and a sense of safety. I like to have fun and enjoy taking the children I care for on adventures and outings to parks, drop-in centres, and galleries. I am a creative person and enjoy working in homes where art and creativity is valued, and with families and children who appreciate the joys of creation. I am encouraging of creativity and artistic expression in the children I care for, as I believe this is where so much learning and personal growth can happen.
In my personal time, I enjoy cooking and baking, challenging myself in a kettle bell workout, cycling around the city with my partner and stepdaughter, and having picnics on Toronto Island. I also enjoy travelling. In 2019, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, I spent five months travelling in Guatemala, El Salvador, and Mexico, improving my Spanish and studying at a yoga and meditation school.
I am currently seeking a part-time position, with consistent, regular hours. Ideally I would work 1-3 full days (8hrs) each week. I am also open to occasional care in the evenings or on the weekends.
If you feel we may be a good match, please get in touch to discuss the details of your family's needs.
Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to speaking with you soon!

I feel lucky to have found Hailey M. She has provided care for my 7 month on a weekly basis for the past few months. She is trustworthy, exceedingly capable, confident and reliable. She has allowed me to spend more time with my older child and complete household chores while on maternity leave -- all while knowing my baby is being very well cared for. Her wide breadth of experience with children coupled with her impeccable professionalism make her a great choice for any family looking for high quality childcare in Toronto.

Hailey M was not only an incredibly competent nanny to our son- she was a caring companion and friend to him. Our little guy happily went on many adventures around the city and Hailey shared stories and photos with us of him exploring art galleries, playgrounds, parks and libraries. She also gave us insights into his learning and development. Hailey came highly recommended to us and exceeded our expectations! We consider ourselves lucky to have connected with her.

Hailey is more than a nanny; she is a lifelong friend and teacher to our son. She is truly dedicated to shaping her young charges - under her care, our son found the support and encouragement to be the best version of himself. We recommend her wholeheartedly.

We love Hailey! we wanted to find a nanny who we could rely on to care for our 2 year old son on some evenings and weekends. She is one of the best. She has strong values and ethics, which is hard to come by. We wholeheartedly trust her with our son. She has years of experience and is a parent herself. She brings her creativity, intelligence and sense of humour and we feel good knowing that she is a great role model to our son!

Hailey is wonderful! She has been looking after our four year old son for about a year and a half now on an occasional basis. She is very responsible, thoroughly skilled and extremely kind to our kiddo. We actually approached Hailey as she had been looking after a friend's kids and we were so impressed with her obvious skill and her genuine and warm nature that we wanted the same for our little one! Hailey is very experienced and professional- she knows what she's doing and she does it very well. i couldn't recommend her more.

There are a lot of good caregivers out there, but there are also truly exceptional caregivers. In my opinion, Hailey falls into the latter category. She was so gentle and thoughtful in her interactions with my daughter and modified her approach by the day/week/month to suit her developmental needs. Hailey always spoke intelligently when caring for her and treated her like a little person. My daughter thrived in her care. Furthermore, Hailey’s reputation in the community is stellar. I was home part-time and individuals working at drop-in centres, children’s stores, and music groups, often knew Hailey and couldn’t say enough good things about her. I was always happy to have that conversation because I couldn’t agree more and was pleased to see other people recognize what a special caregiver and person Hailey is.

I can’t say enough about how incredibly happy I was with Hailey as my son’s Nanny. She started with us when my son was about 5 months old up until he was just shy of two years old (he started daycare). She is kind, patient, rational and so very compassionate. As a first time mother I truly appreciated how much and how quickly I was able to trust Hailey. She loved our son, it was quite obvious and he just adored her too. She makes the child’s well being her top priority and ensures they get a balanced day. Not just with the great meals she makes but also with the activities. She made sure my son got ample out door time (this is one of his favorite things in the whole world!) and ensured he was read to and also offered independent play. I think that any family Hailey will be working with will love her as much as we do ?.
She’s an anomaly, I hope you get to work with her.

As a small business owner, I needed to go back to work part time when my son was just three months old. I was nervous at first about handing my infant over to a stranger, but after interviewing Hailey I felt completely at ease. Hailey is not only very professional, but a warm and loving caregiver who is very knowledgeable about child development. As new parents, we felt so lucky to have such an experienced person taking care of our son, and we probably owe a lot of our success in parenting to those early months when Hailey was there to impart her years of experience.
