Hello! My name is Alyssa, I am a current college student studying for my Bachelor of child development. I currently have an ECE Diploma and I’m registered with the college of ECE. I am looking for a part-time/ Occasional position coming fall. I am also currently a YMCA supply staff so my schedule throughout weekdays would be towards school and picking up shifts at select YMCA child care centers. I am hoping to gather my weekend time towards occasional nannying/ babysitting. I have a wide range of experience since prior before working at the YMCA I worked at a karate school as a instructor. My early years of working with children began around age 14. I hope our schedules work with one another as well I am looking forward to making a new buddy!

This letter is a character reference letter for Alyssa. I have known Alyssa since she was 8 years old. I have been able to witness her grow into the successful and mature adult that she is today. In order to go through training to earn a Black Belt, there is a level of maturity that is required to be able to wear that belt. In many cases this is what hinders children and teens in getting this amazing achievement. Having to deal with normal social challenges that come with being a teenager, Alyssa was always able to see any challenges or obstacles regardless if they were Martial Arts related or personal with an exceptional level of maturity while maintaining a good level of emotional stability. When Alyssa moved into the role of teaching Martial Arts, she was presented with a new set of challenges for example, dealing with children and adults as well as students with both physical and mental challenges; which often required both patience and enthusiasm to ensure that the students’ needs were met and their goals achieved. As one of my most hardworking and talented instructors, she was able to go beyond the physical characteristics of being a martial artists and having great technique, she was able to become a great leader and role model. As one of my Senior Instructors she was able to lead the staff and promote a strong level of professionalism especially with some of the younger staff members. Alyssa would ensure that they were comfortable teaching techniques and made sure she was approachable for anything they needed advice on or to discuss. In some instances I have seen Alyssa be challenged to think on her feet and evaluate situations to come to the best possible solutions. In closing any company that decides to hire her will find an employee that consistently tries to hold the position to the highest possible standard.
