Nanny in Nelson, British Columbia

Hello, I'm Hailey; a 25 year-old female who will be making the move from Vancouver to Nelson, BC on March 7th, and I am looking for full-time employment working with children to start around this time. Last year, I was a nanny for 6 months to two young girls - aged 2 and 7 in Vancouver. In the morning - I would get both girls ready, make them breakfast, pack the oldest's lunch, then drive them both to drop the oldest off at school. I would then spend the day with the youngest by preparing her lunch, taking her to gymnastics, setting her down for a nap, etc. Before this job, I was a nanny for a 3 year old girl with autism. We built a very strong bond, and the parents frequently send me updates. My day with her would start at 8 am and finish by 4 pm. Some of my duties included: making and feeding her breakfast/lunch, changing her, initiating educational games, going for walks (especially to the ice cream store!), going to a local splash pad, and reading her books. Her parents are very open about how much they appreciated me as their daughters nanny, and would be very happy to provide a reference. In 2016, I was a nanny for two children aged 5 and 10 in the summer before I attended university. In this role, I was a full-time nanny from 7 am to 5 pm; in which I helped the children get ready, clean their rooms and carry out basic chores, prepared their meals, and planned fun activities for them such as going on hikes/bike-rides, and taking the 5 year old to art class. I have also been an after-school nanny for 3 years in high-school, caring for five children between the ages of 7-12. In this role, I primarily served the children after-school snacks, read their school agendas for any homework that needed to be completed, helped them with their homework, took them for walks with the dog, and carried out some light cleaning. I also have a 7 year old brother, and have been helping to care for him since he was born. I am very confident in my ability to care for young children.
