A bit about me: I have over 15 years experience in childcare and have taken a babysitting course from Kensington Community center as well as recently updated my First Aid and CPR for child care. I am a very creative person as I have a Bachelors of Fine Arts from Emily Carr University and hope to use this training to further my studies in education. I have volunteered in Art classes in the Elementary and high school level and love inspiring others to find their creative outlet. I most recently worked for KidSafe during spring break as an activity leader. KidSafe serves Vancouver's most at-risk youth with a safe space, developmental care and nutrition to children ages 5-13 when school is not in session. They provide nurturing safe havens for vulnerable inner city children by providing vulnerable children with the safety, supervisor, nutritious meals and educational programming they need and deserve but lack due to their challenging life circumstances. I am semi-fluent in both French and Spanish and have my German level 1 from VCC. I am also passionate about physical health and was a coach for a girls youth soccer team, and am a strong swimmer and skater. I also have over 20 years of Karate training and believe in the self discipline it teaches as well as the ability to protect ones self and others.
